School Info For Parents
As we begin this school year during these challenging times, I want to provide you with some information..
Car riders cannot be dropped off early outside the school like in years past. They will need to stay in your car with you until 7:25. There will be teachers to direct you. Your child’s temperature will be taken before they get out of the car. Any student with a fever of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to stay.
Staff and students must wear masks. The school will provide masks if you do not have one.
Car riders will be released at 2:30. The New Site buses will leave at 2:45 and regular buses at 3:00.
Bus drivers will give a mask to the bus riders as they get on the bus if they do not have one. These students’ temperatures will be taken when they get to school.
Pre-K and Kindergarten parents may walk their child to their classroom between 8:00-8:20 only on the first day of school. A mask must be worn by both parent and child. All other students need to enter the building by themselves. There will be teachers to help direct them.
1st -8th grade students will go to the cafeteria and pick up their breakfast before they go to their homeroom. They will eat breakfast in their classroom..
Because of the A/B schedule we can all eat lunch in the cafeteria because we can social distance.
We are asking that students bring a filled water bottle to school everyday. Please do not put it inside the backpack. Teachers will help refill them during the day.
The days your child isn’t in school they may pick up a sack lunch in the cafeteria the afternoon before they leave school. For example, an A day student (Monday and Wednesday) can pick up breakfast and lunch for Tuesday before they leave on Monday. If your child eats free lunch the lunches will be free, reduced will be the reduced price, and full will be full price. If your child is in Pre-K-4th grade and you want them to pick one up you need to send a note letting their teacher know. We will continue that request unless you notify us to stop. If your child is older (5th-8th), just let them know and they will bring it home. They will not be able to put this food in their backpacks.
Please send your child’s Chromebook and charger to school with them each day fully charged.
I know this all may seem overwhelming, but we CAN do it!!! Just please be patient and please BE KIND!! We CAN NOT wait to see all the students!!
